Root Cause Analysis

Observation: Health Care is expensive, really expensive.

Observation: All of the current solutions for the health care problem address the availability and high cost of Health Insurance, not the high cost of Health Care.

Why hasn't anyone sat down and figured out why health care is so expensive? If the cost of Health Care came down, then an argument could be made that the cost of Health Insurance would come down while availability would increase.

Think of it this way: you have someone bleeding to death. Do you keep putting on bandages and pumping in more blood, or do you find a way to stop the bleeding? I vote for stopping the bleeding.

So, with rooms and buildings full of supposedly smart people, why has no one looked at why Health Care costs so much?

Just wondering.
